Jones Packaging has its roots in the 19th century, when founder Henry Jones entered the packaging business. Jones Packaging was formally incorporated as a company in 1920.

Owners Ron Harris and Chris Jones-Harris are the 4th generation family members who took control of the business in 1996 when the 3rd generation retired. Jones employs a total of 374 full time employees, 281 in London and 93 in Guelph.

Jones Packaging specializes in the pharmaceutical and confectionary packaging markets from their Consumer Packaging division. They are also the largest supplier of prescription medication packaging needs to the retail pharmacy and long term care market through their Prescription Packaging division.

New Technology Adaptors
Housed in two impressive 130,000 plus square foot facilities Jones has always been an early adopter of new technologies for the benefit of their customers.

As an example, Jones purchased two X-Rite systems from Partners Graphic Support which were installed in their two folding carton facilities in London and Guelph to help them better manage colour on sheetfed carton production equipment.

The X-Rite system has proven to be another addition of leading-edge technology that is helping to contribute to Jones’ commitment of producing the highest possible product quality.

Also in keeping with their desires for leading-edge technology, Jones is currently in the final stages of evaluating CTP for both their litho and flexo plate needs. They have been running outsourced CTP plates in both areas for more than two years and are convinced that CTP plates are the next technology of which they should take full advantage.
